Pamela Mallett Biography
Pamela Mallett is the director of Visa USA’s Risk Management E-Commerce Risk group. She is charged with developing and managing the Visa USA’s Cardholder Information Security Program, which currently pertains to protecting cardholder data in the electronic commerce environment. As a recognized expert in this newly-emerging field, Ms. Mallett is a frequent speaker to both international and domestic audiences. She is a member of the Information Systems Security Association, the Computer Security Institute, as well as other security industry groups.
Ms. Mallett has nearly 25 years of financial services industry experience. In addition to her more than 12 years at Visa, where she has developed and adjudicated Visa International’s Operating Regulations, developed fraud programs, and risk perspectives on new products and services, she has also been employed at Chase Manhattan and the former Chemical Bank. Her international assignments for Citibank, American Express and Arthur Young International have taken her to Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Cape Verde, off the coast of Africa.
Ms. Mallett holds an MBA in Finance from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, as well as a BS from Georgetown University in that same city.
