LIEUTENANT COLONEL (P) THADDEUS A. DMUCHOWSKI
Lieutenant Colonel (P) Dmuchowski has been the Director of Information Operations Assurance Office, Office of the Army Chief of Information Officer/G-6, since July 2001.
LTC Dmuchowski is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He was commissioned through the Reserve Officers Training Corps upon graduation from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. He earned his Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois in 1995.
His military education includes the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course, the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Army War College (Fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University in Information Operations).
LTC Dmuchowski has 23 years experience and training in Information Technology, program management, and military leadership. His career as a soldier began with training as a Military Intelligence officer in 1979 and a follow-on assignment as a Tactical Intelligence Officer with the 1st Battalion, 131st Infantry, Illinois National Guard, where he later served as a Company Commander, Operations Officer and as the Personnel Officer. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
In his succeeding assignments he acquired hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of Information Technology and its application to satisfy requirements in management information systems. His progressive assignments in the application of Information Technology at all levels of the Army National Guard Directorate culminated with his selection as the Director, Army Information Operations Assurance Office.
LTC Dmuchowski’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), and the Army Achievement Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster).
