Robert B Graybill Biography
Mr. Graybill
has an extensive background in embedded and high performance computing with
over 25 years of experience in the defense, government and commercial
industry. His experience includes
advanced research, development, flight testing, production both from an
engineering and management perspectives for Radar, Sonar, Electronic Warfare,
Space Surveillance Systems and commercial products in organizations such as
Westinghouse, Motorola, Martin Marietta Naval Systems, Martin Marietta
Corporate Laboratories, Sanders and Lockheed Martin Government Electronic
Systems.
Mr. Graybill
is a DARPA program manager in the Information Processing Technology Office
(IPTO), whose mission is to develop new generations of intelligent systems with
cognitive computing capability. Specific areas of responsibilities are high-end
computing architectures and responsive embedded computing hardware, software,
and network systems. Mr. Graybill’s program responsibilities are Data Intensive
Systems, Power Aware Computing and Communications, Polymorphous Computing
Architectures, and High Productivity Computing Systems.
Mr. Graybill
has recently participated in a number of studies in high-end computing
including Defense Science Board task force on DoD Supercomputing Needs, Last Classical
Computer, Integrated High-End Computing Congressional Report, and High-End
Computing Revitalization Task Force. He
also was co-editor of a book on Power Aware Computing.
