Gordon V. Errington
Gordon Errington has
served as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) of the Department of
Energy since August 2003, after serving for a year as Associate CIO for
Operations. Gordon has over 30 years of diverse experience in Information
Technology in both the public and private sectors - including over 20 years as
a Communications Officer in the U.S. Army.
He spent four years in the IT commercial
industry as an Account Manager for a large IT integration company. His military career included 18 assignments
at various locations worldwide in positions such as a Commander,
Telecommunications Officer, Engineering Officer, Branch Chief, and finished his
military career as a Presidential Communications Officer with the White House
in 1996.
Mr. Errington earned a Masters degree in
Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University and a
Bachelor of Science in Management from Troy State University. He is a resident
of the District of Columbia and enjoys visiting the many historical sites in
the area.
