Comes is a Civil Engineer with 10 years experience in
computational studies of vessel- flow field interactions, free surface
incompressible flow fields and sediment transport processes associated with
river engineering. His most recent
decade of interests include Information Technology studies in the areas of data
communications, scientific visualization and Director of the ERDC Major Shared
Resource Center, one of the four major HPC centers supported by the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program
(HPCMP).
Comes is currently the HPC Centers Project Manager for the DoD HPCMP providing oversight for the HPC
resources deployed by the HPCMP. Current interests include
acquisition of large HPC systems, Grid Computing, and HPC Workflow Management.
