Dr. Christopher Colohan
Chris is a software engineer and manager
at Google.
His work at Google includes work on websearch indexing, MapReduce,
infrastructure, and automated cluster management. In his work Chris has broken
multiple Google-wide (and possibly world-wide?) computer and network performance records,
including being the first to sort 1PB of data using MapReduce (with the help of
_many_ others). Before joining Google Chris received a Masters and PhD
from Carnegie Mellon, and a BAppSc from University of Toronto.
