High End
Computing Revitalization Task Force
The High
Computing Revitalization Task Force (HECRTF) was established in March 2003 to
develop a plan for high-end computing for the Federal government. This plan will be focused at three specific
areas of concern: (1) interagency
research and development of high-end computing core technologies; (2) a federal
high-end computing capacity and accessibility improvement plan; and (3)
improvements to Federal procurement of high-end computing systems. This talk will summarize the background and
status of this planning activity.
